Georgia Department of Transportation Request for Feedback For PI No. 0017735 Hall County The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is requesting review and feedback on the proposed project. We appreciate your participation in this process. This project proposes to replace four culverts beneath State Route (SR) 283/Holly Springs Road over Flat Creek in Hall County, Georgia with a newly constructed bridge. The existing culverts at Flat Creek were constructed in 1960. The structure is comprised of four 30-foot long, 6-foot diameter corrugated metal pipes. The existing section of SR 283/Holly Springs Road consists of two 11-foot travel lanes, one in each direction, and 3-foot-wide paved shoulders. The proposed section would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes, one in each direction, with 10-foot shoulders (4-foot paved). The proposed bridge would be constructed on the existing alignment. An off-site detour of four miles is proposed. GDOT has placed information about the proposed project at https://www.dot.ga.gov/GDOT/Pages/PublicOutreach.aspx.
